We offer a wide range of services for seniors in a residential care home. Our in-home staff is available around the clock to meet each resident's unique needs. Care may include assistance with medications and personal care, companionship, and activities that promote physical, emotional, and social wellness. We have a registered nurse available 24/7. Our Staff
Our staff is highly trained and experienced in providing compassionate, top-quality care. We have a nurse home manager and a registered nurse founder/owner with experience in senior care, dementia care, home health care, and wellness care. MEET OUR FOUNDER
Our founder, Suzette Handwork, is the heart and soul behind Southern Charm Senior Living. With over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse, Suzette's journey to founding Southern Charm Senior Living was inspired by the struggles seniors and their families endure when they can no longer manage their care. Raised in a rural area, Suzette witnessed firsthand the difficulties of senior care when caring for her grandparents became more than the family could provide. She vowed to create a place where residents would not only receive the care they needed but also be treated as family, with dignity and love.
Suzette pursued a degree in nursing at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas, and most recently obtained her BSN from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Her professional journey includes over 25 years in the home health industry, where she was instrumental in developing a program for diabetes, improving care standards, and achieving excellent patient satisfaction scores. Suzette served as a case manager for Baptist Home Health in Saline County for four years, helping them earn first place in the Reader's Choice award.
Suzette's leadership is defined by her commitment to excellence, innovation in care, and a personal touch that makes Southern Charm Senior Living more than just a residence; it's a nurturing home. The home has a lovely, large sunroom to enjoy a good book, play games, exercise, or view the intricate backyard landscape. We have a front porch sitting area to enjoy a cold glass of lemonade or nature while sitting in a rocking chair. The home is just minutes from two local hospitals, medical clinics, and pharmacies.
